Panel: Post-pandemic Beer in Britain – WOTFest2020
Recorded via Zoom on 10 May 2020
Hear from a panel of beer and hospitality experts as we explore how the beer industry has responded to the current global pandemic following enforced government closure – and what the future holds. Looking at how some beer businesses have evolved and continued to trade during the crisis management phase, while others have fully closed.
We ask how those in the industry see the timeline for reopening and what they are doing to plan for a return to trading – how quickly can the losses be recouped, if at all?
The immediate fallout from lockdown has been a big wake up call for how we do commerce and how we consume. What should we rebuild in the immediate future to support and strengthen the beer and hospitality industry?
Finally, we explore what our panellists think the future of beer in Britain looks like and whether they foresee any lasting impact.
