A right big old beery bash in Wakefield on the August Bank Holiday weekend brought to you by Lost Cause Brewing. Here’s what the loveliest of lovelies wrote when they announced the shindig…

There’s something really exciting happening in beer across the UK at the moment, and we think some of the smaller breweries, the ones that aren’t necessarily the loudest, are doing some genuinely incredible things. So, we’re getting a load of beer in from our mates across the country to showcase some of the best of the best out there right now as part of our VERY FIRST Wakefield Festival of Modern Beer.

We reckon loads of these breweries haven’t ever had their beer poured in Wakey/West Yorkshire before either, and that’s pretty exciting, init? It means you’re in for a proper treat.

As ever, we’ll be keeping things family-friendly in the daytime, with activities for everyone to get involved in, before things roll into a bit of a do later on with music and frivolity for those who fancy having a nice time long into the evening.

Entry is completely free, and we’ll be working our way through over THIRTY beers across the weekend, so feel free to pop in and out as you please. The line-up will be ever-changing, and there’ll always be something new to try.
