Tree – Hazy IPA

It’s time to launch our brewer Andy’s first commercial brew. Tree is a collaboration brew in so many ways. We teamed up with New Zealand Hop Growers Freestyle Hops to showcase Rakau hops in a Hazy IPA and we even got Andy’s life partner Sara involved – she designed the artwork for the label.

Tree is a Hazy IPA rocking in at 6.5% and a collab with our friends and NZ hop growers Freestyle Hops using two of New Zealand’s finest hops: Motueka infuses zesty lime vibrancy, while Rakau reveals apricot and a delightfully dank umami complexity. Citra Cryo bolsters the citrus with tropical vibes, and Simcoe adds stone fruit depth + pine undertones.

Tree will be getting it’s first pours at 6pm on Thursday 7th Dec at the wonderful Beer Hatch in Norwich run by our dear friend Saul seen receiving the venue of choice award at our recent 4th Birthday celebrations. A very special occasion, and we could not be prouder of Andy. Come down and meet Andy try his beer and have a fun time at Beer Hatch a beer destination with a lot of heart. Pouring alongside a few other Duration favourites including Turtles All The Way Down 5.5% IPA, Good Times 4.2% American Light Lager, Ebb & Flow 4.8% American Stout.

The stunning artwork for the label inspired by the Rakau hops used – Rakau means Tree in Māori and designed by Norwich based illustrator Alfonzo Designs Sara Alfaraj – Andy’s partner.

If you can’t make it fear not, Tree will also be available at these wonderful venues over the weekend and we’ll be pouring some at our Brewery Christmas Drinks on Sat 23rd Dec 10-4pm.
