Couple’s West Acre brewery plans for expansion following crowdfund | Lynn News

People from Norfolk do like supporting Norfolk people. We want to make our farmhouse brewery a beautiful destination in West Norfolk.

And boy are we grateful for all the support that has got us this far! Miranda Hudson speaks to Jenny Beake from Lynn News, about the local support the brewery has received since opening at the end of 2019. We love celebrating all things Norfolk using local produce and putting provenance into our beers, working with local suppliers and food traders for our taproom – something we aim to only develop more at our new taproom.

No-one loves beer more than Norfolk given the number of pubs here. We opened as a team of three, we now employ nine staff. The crowd fund was amazing with a lot of support locally. People could get involved with as little as a fiver up to tens of thousands of pounds. We had 600 investors and loyal drinkers and we have a lot to consider. Working in hospitality, it is important we are generating a community feeling.

We are still reeling over the support from near and far with our crowdfund, and what the future holds. In the meantime, it’s exciting to see our beers out and about with local pubs taking us on across East Anglia – including our close-by neighbours & friends at The Stag, The George & Dragon and The Dabbling Duck to name a few!
