Jeff Evans writer for Drinks Retailing beautifully describes our Belgian Tripel Seeds Sleep in the Darkness

‘The texture is lush and unctuous’

Seeds is our second annual forage brew made with good friends here in Norfolk, clothing company Carrier Co and local forager Acre Botanicals. Together we went out and gathered fireweed to bring honey notes to our brew.

Jeff Evans is the chairman of the International Beer Challenge as well as a writer in his own right, writer and editor for CAMRA and a regular columnist in Drinks Retailing.

Each we we look again at nature and head to the hedgerows to find local  ingredients. Fireweed is bountiful here towards the end of summer leading into harvest.

Jeff Evans describes the flavours of our beer as

‘syrupy, melon-like sweetness with the bitter notes of herbs, some floral elements, a peppery warmth and a clove-like note that runs on to dominate the finish’.

We recommend drinking this one in the great outdoors or wrapped up warm by the fire. We imagined enjoying it on the beach at dusk with a bonfire blazing and friends gathered round.
