Join us!

Duration Brewing is a multi-award-winning progressive farmhouse brewery in West Norfolk. We make quality-focused fresh beers and wild ales that are brewed from nature with purpose from our high-end custom built brewhouse in rural Kings Lynn, West Norfolk. A rare opportunity has come up to join our small but mighty team.

Over the past few years demand has grown significantly on our core brands and we about to expand production. This means we are on the look out for a hard working team player to join us as a brewer. If you love designing beer recipes, being over wort production and don’t mind kegging and getting on the forklift and you are ready to get stuck in brewing on our state of the art custom build BrauKon 20HL kit, step this way.

If you have a passion for brewing and want to be in the thick of the action on the brewery floor doing a varied mix of brewing, centrifuging, dry hopping and working our high pressured canning line we may just have your dream job.

This is an position where a minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial brewing role and a forklift license is essential. You will also need a can do ‘roll-up your sleeves attitude. You will need to be practical, happy working on your feet most of the day and relish physically demanding work (able to lift 72kg kegs).

You will also need a lot of focus under pressure and a keen attention to detail to work with confidence covering all aspects of the brew process. A great opportunity for the right candidate.

Our beers are enjoyed at our Brewery Taproom and by beer lovers in country pubs, specialist beer bars, and at festivals and events across the UK. We have been steadily expanding at the brewery and growing operations each year and 2026 is set to be a great year for us.

Perks:

  • A monthly beer and merch allowance, ongoing training, and career progression.
  • The excitement of being part of a small, friendly, and supportive team where your input is valued.
  • Opportunity to progress to lead brewer as the team grows.
  • Opportunity to travel, network and attend beer-based events across the UK (with time off in lieu).
  • We offer a fair wage and the ability to advance in the company.

Brewer Wanted

A rare opportunity to join the small, collaborative brew team at Duration — an independent farmhouse brewery producing modern and traditional beers in West Norfolk.

About Us

Duration Brewing is widely respected for innovation and quality. We collaborate with leading breweries across the UK and internationally, and have been recognised as a Top 10 New Brewer globally by RateBeer and a Top 8 UK brewery by The Sunday Times. Since 2019, we’ve received over 35 awards.

We encourage creativity and idea-sharing, producing beers that reflect both our customers and our region’s agricultural heritage. Our range includes pales, IPAs, lagers, stouts, Belgian styles, mixed fermentation, barrel-aged beers, and modern cask. Our setup includes a 20HL BrauKon brewhouse, GEA centrifuge, CODI canning line, coolship, foeders, bottling line, and a modern water treatment plant.

The Role

Ideal for someone with 2–3 years’ commercial brewing experience looking to broaden their skills in a hands-on, varied role.

You’ll cover all aspects of production — from recipe development and brewing through to cellar work, packaging, and water treatment. Working closely with our Head Brewer and Production Manager, most of your time will be on the brew floor, with some packaging, cleaning, and admin.

We’re looking for someone organised, proactive, and a strong problem solver — able to manage their workload independently while communicating well within a small team.

A formal qualification is not required but is advantageous. A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to our rural location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wort production, cellar operations, and packaging
  • Record keeping and inventory support
  • Quality control: testing, analysis, and monitoring
  • Assist with water treatment plant operation
  • Maintain health & safety and hygiene standards
  • Follow and help develop SOPs

Essential Skills

  • 2–3 years’ commercial brewing experience
  • Strong communication and time management
  • Certified forklift operator
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn
  • Physically capable of manual work and lifting

Desirable

  • GEA centrifuge / CODI canning line experience
  • Mechanical or engineering background
  • Brewing qualification or HACCP knowledge
  • Brewery software familiarity
  • Willingness to support events and wider team
  • Interest in mentoring and continuous improvement

What We Offer

  • £27,000–£30,000 depending on experience
  • Development opportunities
  • Monthly beer + annual merch allowance
  • Taproom and kiosk discounts
  • Industry travel opportunities
  • Relocation support during probation

Key Details

  • Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
  • Mostly Mon–Fri, occasional evenings/weekends
  • Based in West Acre, Norfolk
